A colleague gets a new company car. There is a clear trend at Borba GmbH: away from combustion engines and towards electromobility. The company is not only moving with the times in production, but also when it comes to equipping its employees. The company has already made provisions for electromobility, with several charging stations already installed on the company premises. And this is just the beginning - there is still plenty of room for significant expansion.

Targeted support for the Itzehoe Eagles' young talent - Borba GmbH was one of the first companies to take part. And the Itzehoe-based precision engineering company was even a pioneer in one respect: it was the first to opt for the highest level of support, Assist Captain. This is now clearly visible to everyone: The Borba logo is emblazoned on the new jerseys of the Eagles' male U16 team.

The company, which is based in Störfischerstraße, has been around for more than two decades. „Despite this, too few people know about us and we want to become more visible in the city and the region,“ says Borba Managing Director Fehim von Borstel. This is because too few people are aware of the attractive jobs and training programmes the company has to offer. Borba manufactures highly sophisticated components using computer-controlled turning and milling with state-of-the-art machines - and what appears to be inconspicuous often fulfils central functions in products from a wide range of industries, says Thomas Lehmann, member of the management team. „A lot of mental work is required here,“ he emphasises. „We are always on the lookout for good employees and offer good training and promotion opportunities as well as above-average salaries.“

High-achieving youngsters are always welcome, so it is only logical to support the Eagles' youth, says Lehmann. That's why the decision to support the club's Assist programme for young players was made very spontaneously. This is possible for both companies and private individuals from 40 euros per month.
