Founded in 1998 by Fehim von Borstel as a measurement and control technology company with three employees, BORBA quickly developed into a medium-sized company.
There are currently 57 highly qualified employees working for our customers in the mechanical engineering, aviation, shipbuilding, automotive, medical technology and printing industries, among others. With Emina von Borstel, not only has the second generation joined the management team, but a further step has also been taken towards the future of the family business. We are constantly developing our expertise and investing in employees, technology and certifications in order to be a reliable partner for our national and international customers.
Our expertise in materials management, materials science, production and quality management means that we never lose sight of our goal: To always be one step ahead of innovation for the benefit of our customers.

History
- 1998 Company founded with three employees specialising in quality assurance
- 2000 Move to new building with twelve employees and expansion of production to six CNC machines
- 2001 Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001
- 2004 Expansion of production to eight milling machines and six lathes with 30 employees
- 2008 Relocation to a 2500 m2 production hall with office wing
- 2009 Certification according to DIN ISO 9100
- 2010 Introduction of SAP and acquisition of a further 400 m2 production hall
- 2012 Production expansion with a further fifteen machining centres in the turning and milling area with automation; now 50 employees
- 2015 Establishment of series production with integrated robot technology in the milling area
- 2017 Setup of series production with eight sliding headstock automatic lathes
- 2018 New skilled workers were hired, current number of employees: 57
- 2020 - a difficult year for the aviation industry due to the pandemic
- 2021 - Upswing after the crisis: business is picking up speed again
- 2024 - Expansion of machinery in the turning area
- 2025 - Expansion of machinery in the milling sector
